Did too many Somalians get an illegal copy of Pirates of the Caribbean and start a new trend? I'm so sick of hearing about these people attacking ships and taking their loot and whatever else they're doing. The latest is that China is possibly going to send some ships down there to take care of the problem.
It's going to get interesting if this happens. Do we even know what China is capable of at this point? Do they have the equipment to do this type of thing? One of my friends told me years ago they aren't that technologically advanced and I argued that they are. They have been building up for war and training for quite some time which includes supposedly getting illegal satellite information from various traders in the US back in the 90s. I'm sure they've advanced on their own quite a bit since then.
I do hope they're successful in doing something about these pirate losers who can't figure out how to go find a real job somewhere. I'm not a fan of the Chinese government, but I do love the people and the culture and it pisses me off to no end that some scallywag had the nerve to loot some hardworking Chinese fishermen.
Hell, I say get a cruise liner and put some weapons on it. Equip all the Navy people and dress them like civilians and then when we get down there blow the hell out of the creeps and then take it on land and continue it. To hell with helping Iraq. They don't want us there anyway now. We helped them and got rid of a lot of the bad seeds and now they want us out. Whatever. If they're going to be so disrespectful to someone who has helped them remove a bad leader and a lot of the creeps who would torture them and take down all their businesses then so be it. Let's help the world by ridding the country of this trash who think they own the waters.
Or has everyone gone liberally soft on pirates now because they feel sorry for Jack Sparrow?
