The most liberal state in the nation with probably the most homosexual population has still spoken about about Proposition 8. I'm just really confused. It still just proves that no matter if you're on the right or the left, you're no closer to being Libertarian than you were when the party started.
Why do we have a ban on who people can love or not? I'm not gay, I'm as straight as a 2x4, but it isn't any of my business who decides to date who unless it is a child in my home under the age of 18.
Think of it this way. The article states that marriage is defined by a man and a woman except that isn't necessarily true. Marriage is defined by whatever religion you belong to because marriage is truly a religious piece of work. It's when you make the marriage contract a piece of law is when it becomes a problem. That's all it is when you get to the level of saying your vows in the presence of a preacher and signing that marriage license. It becomes a legal binding contract and there is nothing loving about a legal binding contract--quite the contrary.
I think people who are gay and want to get marry should try a different approach now. Call it marriage when you do at the cute happy stuff but when you go into the court of law then call it a business relationship then they will have to look at it differently.
A side note: ha ha Proposition 8. Ate? ha. Who's choice of numbering was that? Okay, bad joke. I never said my blog was rated G. My God, let people marry who they want to. Geesh.
